Less than 1 month away!

Time has flown by so fast. We are down to 28 days! Some changes have been made in the Bridal party. As much as I love Blair, she is no longer in the wedding party due to some things she needs to take of for her family, which of course comes first. I'm sad to not have her by my side, but I know she will be with me in spirit. I am though, happy to announce that Kristen Mckey will be my Matron of Honor, and my good friend Julie Moore will fill in for Blair.

I'm very excited about all the fun things coming up. I have a bridal shower this Sunday, and the following Saturday is a girls trip to Biloxi, to relax and have a good time. The weekend after that, My oldest sister and I will head downtown for Bridal pictures, and then our rehearsal lunch the next Sunday, and just a few days after that is the wedding. So much going on in such a small amount of time. Busy busy busy! :-) Not to mention, applying for the marriage licence, meetings with the venue, cake lady, and DJ...Plus a work shower....oh my!

Hello all, It's been a while since I've made a post. The date is getting close and I'm trying to make sure I have everything in order. I had a weird dream last night that I went to pick up my dress from alterations on the day of the wedding and noticed after putting the dress on that only the length was taken up, and it hadn't been taken in on the sides...and it still had the pins in it where it was supposed to be taken in at, so my dad says he can fix it and then instead of doing it right, it was even more messed up, and I had like 2 hours before I had to walk down the asile and I still didn't have my nails done. So maybe I'm getting a little nervous. lol. I have a few crafts to work on, so hopefully I will cross all that off my list soon. I have my bouquet almost done, not sure if I like it though. Most of the bridesmaid dress are in, and they look beautiful on my girls. My dad planted us some white pumpkins to use for decor and they are growing like crazy. I think he said I have 8 so far! I have a lingere shower in September that my Bridesmaids are thowing, as well as a bachelorette party in New Orleans with my girls in early October. Bridal Shower late September also! So yeah, that's what has been going on. The count down has begun! 3 months & 2 weeks. We can't wait to start our lives together and celebrate with our close friends and family.

I found a venue that is very affordable and close by. It's not exactly what I wanted, but for the price, I can get over it. We have an appointment to go check it out Saturday. I've been to a wedding there before and I liked it a lot. Plus the owners are very nice, and the man on the phone was very helpful, unlike Magnolia Mound where the women seemed like she didn't want to be bothered. Keep yall's fingers crossed. I'm ready to set the date!!!

stress

I'm really starting to stress. I can not find any venues in our budget that are close. Everything we can afford that I like are at least an hour to an hour and half away. Any helpful advice or suggestions or help in anyway would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

nevermind

I am beyond upset. We went to Magnolia Mound on Monday and spoke with someone and looked at the grounds. We were given a name and number and told to call this lady today. I just called her, and she said they only have July and December open. I had my heart set on having it there. Guess it's time to start over with planning.
